The Chosen: Season Three

The Chosen Season 3 begins this weekend and my family can’t wait to see it!

Have you seen The Chosen yet?  I was a late comer to the series, brushing off my early-bird husband’s pleas to watch Season One with him. Finally, he challenged me to watch just the first two episodes. While that first one has an odd start to it, the revelation at the end generated an immediate emotional response in me. After that… I was hooked.

The historical drama series, available for free, invites you to follow Jesus throughout his public ministry. Encountering Jesus here brings to life many favorite and familiar Bible stories that connect us with Christ in a more personal manner. Read what I like best about The Chosen here.

I was one way and now I'm completely different. The Chosen

Season 3 opens with the Sermon on the Mount, and from the trailer we know this season includes Jesus naming his apostles, healing the hemorrhaging woman who touches him, and restoring life to Jairus’s daughter.

But the scene my family looks forward to most is the feeding of the 5,000 (the #F5K).

Extras arrive on set of The Chosen

This past summer my husband and daughters were gifted with the unique experience of being extras for two days filming the F5K scenes. Although it was a grueling ordeal during an extremely hot Texas summer, the Chosen production team expertly prepared the logistics and provided excellent care for the thousands of extras on set. My family cherishes the memories created during this “behind the scenes” opportunity and eagerly await to discover whether they can be spotted in the final cut.

If you haven’t seen The Chosen, what are you waiting for?

This week, I’m challenging YOU to watch the first two episodes of season one.

Come and See!
