One of the things my husband taught our now-tween and teenage daughters is to approach men and women in uniform and thank them for their service to our country. This Sunday, November 11, we honor all men and women who proudly serve our great nation in the US Armed Forces. We owe them our respect and sincere gratitude for guarding our freedom.
FRONTLINE FAITHis an organization that supports the spiritual needs of the United States Military by distributing faith-filled MP3 players to provide critical spiritual nourishment for U.S. men and women soldiers. This year they are organizing An American Moment. Wherever you are this Sunday at noon, please stop to join others in a moment of silent rememberance, prayer, and thankgiving, for soldiers past and present. Spread the word with everyone you know, asking them to stop at noon on Sunday and join you, to be in solidarity with others across our nation.
Freedom always comes at a high price. It requires a generous heart, ready for sacrifice. We cannot excuse ourselves from our own personal responsibility for freedom. There is no such thing as freedom without sacrifice.”
